If my singular time Online has taught me anything it’s that Tumblr is Hozier and Twitter is Vampire Weekend and never the twain shall meet, but I am a Vampire Weekend on Tumblr and just wanted to ask anyway if anyone else [has been listening to the new album as their only driving music for weeks and] thinks that Father of the Bride sounds sort of like Ezra Koenig took a little nap resting on a pile of Andrew Bird albums? In a good way?

I am also a Vampire Weekend and thank you for reminding me to listen to this new album!! I am intrigued by your description and i’m imagining an album both raucous and meandering which i am INTO

I mean if u haven’t screamed along to ‘Walcott’ with people who actually have houses on Cape Cod, have u really listened to Vampire Weekend?

Alternatively, as my friend from college who’s in town this weekend said: “I don’t think I’ve listened to Vampire Weekend since they performed in our dining hall.”

Anyway, “both raucous and meandering” feels really not far off at ALL, I think you will like this! Let me know your faves!
