hilariously enough, they kind of did! It was a background joke, but the props department added an essay titled “ Moral Particularism: And Other Things I Learned From Claire Danes Father In Law. BY TAHANI AL JAMIL”

I am THRILLED, I am LAUGHING, ohhhhh my god they went the CLAIRE ROUTE and I LOVE IT because a) Claire Danes, b) “Father In Law” is definitely one of the funniest phrases you could put in an essay title

I definitely thought, [checks], Jonathan Dancy was just a philosophy professor or something, who surely had books but wasn’t known enough to ever be referenced on an NBC sitcom where the joke is not Tahani then swanning in to the conversation to cheerily reminisce about his son Hugh
