Listen this ask is THE BEST and a joy, but I did make myself sad by thinking that Cooper went into the Black Lodge before like 80% of the serieses aired. #debbiedowner

Oh me too, I nearly put a line in those original tags like “in a hypothetical timeline where he doesn’t miss most of the 90s” :(

Luckily these asks take place in an imaginary world in which everyone in every universe has complete access to the works of Star Trek

I just want to add little ✨s all around Julian’s head.

I know. Related, this project eventually necessitated just dumping all my best screenshots of Julian Bashir in one catch-all folder, and I cannot make it through it without collapsing in some holy cocktail of hilarity, love, and despair.

there are 35 images in there and thats...not even all of them I don't think but it is definitely Too Much replies memory-for-trifles Tarra Treks Star Trek DS9 Star Trek

Holy shit the Jake one??

For a few of these characters it was a good thing I’d picked the best from memory before I actually started going through my folders, given how many quality options there would turn out to be, and Jake Sisko as portrayed by Cirroc Lofton is one of those. But man. That porthole shot. My Favorite.

Babel and Accession were the biggest surprises to me! I was happy and pleased to see Explorers and In The Cards, I totally agree and think they are two underrated gems. Explorers in particular grows on me more and more. Biggest surprise to not see on the list: Take Me Out To The Holosuite which is a strong contender for my overall fave, tbh.

Hah oh yeah, ‘Babel’ and ‘Accession’ did feel like deep cuts. ‘Babel’ was the first DS9 episode where I was really intrigued with what sort of plots were possible on a space STATION, where people live. Sure they live on the starships too, but there’s something about this one that’s like “my house is trying to kill me wtf?” and I was way into it. And ‘Accession’ might turn out to be my rare fave because that episode has it ALL my friends. Miles & Julian in their London Blitz flight jackets, some old Bajoran poet come sailing out of history, Dax saying she’d like being worshipped, Worf’s sheer panic at learning Keiko’s having another baby, Nerys being terrible at pottery, Quark’s face when he realizes Miles & Julian are completely gone for each other, my girl Keiko just taking this ot3 into her own hands, and Benjamin Sisko deciding yknow what heck yeah, I am the Emissary. ‘Accession’ is GREAT.

And oh my god, I also cannot believe The Star Trek With Baseball ended up in my second string. If I’d had four spots for S7 it would have been there, for sure.

There’s an idea: most overrated and underrated episodes, really get The Discourse going 😉

Evidently my brand?? I mean realistically that was probably what I was doing here.

What I might struggle with though re: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999) is knowing what the collective historic opinion on episodes actually is….

Oh although I have gathered that I liked S1’s ‘Move Along Home’ more than I should, so: underrated.
