Maximilian Liebenwein - The Legend of Saint George

one of my best Codenames clues of all time was 'Saint George: four' was going for Knight - Dragon - London - Church turns out that when all you know of Christianity comes from art history classes in college this is the kind of clue you presume everyone actually raised Christian is going to nail and then your former Episcopalian altar boy father is like I have no idea who Saint George is all we got was Church Maximilian Liebenwein art saints

something so scary but so sexy about the word "hallow", particularly when it's used to mean something you can do to someone rather than something. to hallow someone, to be hallowed. and it's mostly word association i suppose but part of it to me is how close "hallow" is to "hollow". turning someone holy, emptying them out of everything that actually makes them who they are in the process. do you understand. do you feel me

The St. Nicholas tradition is based on a long tradition. It originates from two historical persons: Nicholas of Myra (4th century) and Nicholas of Sion (6th century)  According to legend, Saint Nicholas performed numerous miracles: for example, he calmed a storm, brought the dead back to life and saved women from prostitution. As early as the Middle Ages, Santa Claus was revered in Europe as the patron saint of children.
