Designer Shalini Misra’s renovated Victorian villa in London is so magnificent, I don’t even mind that it’s been completely redone. An opening in the floor divides this space into two areas, one elevated by nearly a meter. Custom lighting hangs in the void from the medallion in the ceiling and the chinoiserie cabinets were inspired by old kimonos.
