LINK BANG I am dying
Listen DS9 we all know it
There are technically six episode’s worth of reacts in here, but really four. You will see. And this set includes a few eps with lukewarm recommendations, but hey I still had a pretty great time here! It’s a good show, guys.
7x09 ‘Covenant’
- are they all gonna sit around and come up with what religion Odo should join, oh my god. Julian’s pitch for Klingon faith is literally: “He’d get to eat the hearts of his enemies.” compelling.
- Kira: “When I contacted the university they said you were on a spiritual retreat?”
literally this Vedek: “Oh you know me, always searching for answers.” I am lol.
- wait, Brother Vedek what the fuck did you just give her! you knew it was going to do that!!!
- you know, it is rather a shame that Dukat ended up becoming this. there were moments of true brilliance with this character, along the way.
- it weirds me out that the station is tilted in this reality
- oh wait it’s EMPOK NOR, that’s the abandoned one that O’Brien led that salvage mission to where Garak touched the Alien goo and went space mad. OMG SO THIS IS REAL. oh fuck.
- I mean he did become a vessel for a Pah Wraith that one time, this is true
- Dukat is always claiming other people are truly responsible for shit he did, so it figures that eventually he would blame THE ACTUAL BAJORAN PROPHETS for his Bajoran Occupation
- ugh

this is a good look
- Dukat wants Nerys to grow used to this as her home, holy what
- Dukat gives people permission to have children, are you—???
[slowly raises head to stare across the room]
Holy shit you’re probably right.
Oh that’s hilarious.
Can’t taste anything, can’t tell what art is, can’t get drunk — no wonder they take such pleasure in being dickhead diplomats, what else is there for them them to enjoy! Ohohoho, these poor, hatable bastards.

Gosh you all make my heart as happy as this show. My heart overfloweth!!!
This has been such a journey, with such good company :))

Ways In Which Julian Bashir And Charles Xavier Are The Same
- brilliant
- won’t shut up about it
- won’t shut up about anything
- 2 Brit 2 quit
- Flirty McDorkpants is trying to pick you up by talking about his own academic prowess
- this is so exciting! the world is alight with possibilities!
- full of himself
- full of compassion
- transparent sweetheart is going to get himself into trouble
- means well, means SO WELL, but omg is just always using his telepathy/medical access code to step past people’s barriers
- Compartmentalization, It’s A Sensation!
- astonishingly stubborn. at times inspiringly stubborn.
- dangerous fucked up foreign boyf who makes everyone else uncomfortable
- self-identifies as a Mutant
- I love them
hi @ihamtmus!!
OKAY, I’m super late but let’s do this thing!! Thanks to @wellntruly, who is a GEM and helped come up with a ton of these and was just super fun to scream about this with
little background: most everyone has powers, it’s very House of M although since this is a Star Trek universe they make a BIG DEAL out of ~equality~ between powered and non-powered people. Still, life is harder for you if you’re non-powered or have weak powers, especially in terms of employment. Would you hire a non-powered bodyguard if you could get one that could shoot fire? I didn’t think so. It’s one of those undercurrents of society that DS9 addresses, and everyone else pretends doesn’t exist. Unsurprisingly, most colonists (and Maquis) are non-powered or have weak/not ‘useful’ powers as they willingly risk that danger to create a world for themselves where they’re not the ‘lesser’.
And not every planet/species has the same style of powers that we’re used to in our mutant comics, where everyone has different powers. Some are like Changelings, where everyone has the same powers. Some have symbiotic powers, like the Trill who have individual powers and then the symbiont all have the same power - which is the ability to retain and pass on memories and powers from previous hosts.
ANYONE ON TO THE GOOD STUFF (readmore below!)

GOD, this is still like, my whole bag. My whole bag!!!
A thrilled return to the Captain’s Logs! Featuring several top-notch episodes, wow, Season 7 is really doing the dang thing!
7x05 ‘Chrysalis’
- @memory-for-trifles calls this one a problematic fave and @rainbowrites started describing it with “Bashir is really really lonely”, so ha ha let’s go
- it literally begins with Miles saying he can’t get a drink with Julian oh nooo
- this boy is so alonely he just asked to third-wheel Nerys and Odo’s date, omg, oh biscuit
- so Julian just curled up to go to sleep, at, we discover, 3:00am. please don’t tell me how long he was lying in bed quietly talking to some virus mutation game on his iPad.
- Nog: “Sir! Admiral Patrick and his staff just arrived on the Farragut.” wait. hold on. I took a phone call on Friday from someone at a school in Florida called….Admiral Farragut Academy. well this is a curious coincidence.

they’re baaa-aaack!
