okay, S4 headcanons: taking the dogs with them or getting new ones?
Getting new ones, because beyond logistical concerns, I don’t think Alana’s the only one who looks at those dogs and sees the best part of Will — I think Will does too, and he wants to leave that with Molly.
S1 trembling murder deer Will or S3 hair slicked back and effortlessly manipulating everyone Will?
Can I go with alt/combo option S3 trying so hard to manipulate monsters but is still mostly a trembling murder deer Will? Just because I kinda feel like Will Graham has never achieved ~effortless~ in his life.
Who does thirsty better? Anthony Dimmond or Matthew Brown?
*honk*
Ok the answer is Anthony Dimmond, because he best embodies “thirsty” as meaning both “down for this arch threesome” and “I’m drinking from two champagne flutes at once.”
Okay, okay, snail imagery or firefly imagery? Would your answer change if we had gotten the firefly wine thing in Dolce after all?
Whaaat is the firefly wine thing in Dolce??
Having no idea if the answer to that will change my answer, I am actually going with snail imagery, 4 THE LOL. When pitching this show to friends & strangers I nearly always describe the heights of don’t-give-a-fuck trippy artistry they achieved by saying something like: “By the time they hit the third season, sometimes there would be long transitions of just black-and-white close-up shots of snails sliding over each other, that they still somehow managed to pass off as thematically relevant. IT’S GREAT.”
That being said I do extra enjoy when Will becomes an actual fairy tale princess in the dark enchanted wood.
ITALY ARC. So strange and dreamy~~ Weird pining, gold and forests and baths, there were fucking snails everywhere, we all kept yodeling “pretentious art film from the 80s!!” at each other, it was wild.
So who had the better look: Margot in S2, (I was all about the stiff high necked outfit/suits) or Alana in S3? And then rank Chiyo, Beverly Katz, and Freddie Lounds outfit rankings.
Mmm looks. I also choose Margot in S2 over all (HIGH NECK HIGH FASHION), but interestingly, would swing Alana in S3 over Margot in S3! Particularly the suit over the red shirt with the flowing neckline that dropped forever and a day.
As for ranking: 1. Chiyoh My Eyeshadowed Huntress in Coats 2. Freddie You Jewel-toned Menace 3. Beverly With The Jackets Too Cool For Me
Going TABLEAUS I love it. Bird in Woman in Horse takes it for me, because I feel like my own heart has turned into a bird every time that starling flies from her ribs.
I was going to list my top five films released this year, but I haven’t even SEEN five 2015 movies. This….. was not a great year for me and the cinema! God or even Netflix, I was much better the year before? Augh.
Anyway I finally saw some movies that were really fantastic like Ida and Force Majeure and Song of the Sea, but I’ve decided to go with
The Best Times I Had While Watching A Movie in 2015
5. Locke Maybe peak Tom Hardy Problem, still think “I want to talk about practical next steps” to myself in a probably fake but lovely Welsh accent
4. Savage Grace I think this text exchange with Jen is indicative
Of course after the following hour I was a bit shellshocked I’m not gonna lie.
Orson Welles double feature at Film Forum with four wonderful buddies. We sang (”sang”) the zither score from The Third Man for at least three subway stops an the way back uptown.
2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens This could be a recency effect. OR I am about to become the trash of a thing. #space #buddies #space buddies
