THE SOUVENIR - ★★★★★
A loose, faintly dreamy mood picture about terrible posh people having a bad time where at one point Richard Ayoade shows up in a furry leopard print jacket over a French stripey shirt to play a film school douchebag. 5/5 stars.
Everything else I liked in Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir - many a spoiler I’m sorry
LITTLE WOMEN - ★★★½
Maybe the coziest movie I’ve ever seen.

I have been sustained this dire Oscar nom morning by three things
1. National treasure John Cho reading Parasite’s nomination for Best Picture
2. Poised AF Issa Rae mildly deadpanning “Congratulations to those men” after reading the directors
3. This (very good) edit, an entire Mööd

And now the opposite movie from Peterloo in energy! It is good but so much yelling. That’s the point but like, I don’t enjoy it!
Liked the dramatic ending wholly though so I will be majorly spoiling that in this review, immediately.
