I love the literal buckets of blood, the bonkers performances, the glorious visuals, THE SOUNDTRACK, and Keanu’s confounding dialect work. ANYHOO. I am now trying to travel back in time like a bat to 2016 and Recover the Mindset, as it were. Oh get out of here, has Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal put me in the same position as Will Graham YET AGAIN? God that’s impressive actually..

ANYHOO II. If recollection serves I was definitely somewhat of a fandom contrarian about this years ago as well, but these days, oh yeah definitely nooo, no no no, I have no faith or frankly interest in them having any sort of compatible future together, for all the reasons you said and more. Sorry! Sorry to the fans, sorry possibly to Dr. Lecter. I fully thought of this as a dark romance, absolutely, but fucked up and fucking doomed, and that’s what I liked about it. I like that they both destroyed each other. It is the only conclusion to this I find true, and both narratively and Romantically satisfying. I think Will & Hannibal only belong together in their fucking graves.
