The thing is, so many of the critics I like, both pro and casual, do not think Three Billboards is even a good movie, and I was wondering if just citing them would credential me enough to declare it Not Worth All This, despite having not actually seen it personally. BUT THEN I REMEMBERED that Luca Guadagnino is not the only in vogue director that I have an old backstory with, as I once write a college paper on In Bruges, but much more absurdly I fucking saw A Behanding In Spokane on Broadway in 2008, starring Sam Rockwell. And, incidentally, Zoe Kazan, which is also interesting in this year.
Anyhow, will def be sailing forward calling McDonagh “a playwright” with all sorts of inscrutable unspoken commentary, and saving that ticket money for Phantom Thread.
